I've also had a couple of eyes and also tips where the insert broke out. so I grabbed my pliers and carefully cranked on the seat and it is not noticeable, tightened everything up. I have 2 rods with the same problem as one reviewer, the reel seat gets loose. They fish 1-1/2 to 3 oz baits easily to over 200' of water as long as you're not moving too fast. I match them up with an Okuma Coldwater low profile line counter reel and run straight 20 or 30 lb braid to the bait, swimbaits or whatever. i highly recommend.Ĭomments: I have a few 7'4" Heavy casting rods for Rock Fishing in the ocean, mostly at Morro Bay in CA. i don't expect to be any less satisfied with this rod. I actually broke it due to shutting it in tailgate glass but now im buying 2 more.Ĭomments: Over the years, i've owned a few lew's speed sticks & have loved them. However after using a t-rig on it, it became my favorite rod ever, great feel to it, real light, and even pleanty of back bone to boat flip a few 3 pounders. Pair this with the MG casting reel, and you'll be set for a long time.Ĭomments: I originally go this to be an all around rod. But if you want to get into bass fishing. I really enjoy fishing this rod.Ĭomments: for the money, this is an incredible rod! I bought 2 of these over the last couple of months, and could not be happier! Obviously, they aren't the most sensitive rods. The combination of shear power, and soft graphite rips fish, and keeps them hooked. I have the 7'4" heavy, and the rod is beastly. Comments: The blank is only IM6, but it is light for a rod at this price point.
